My Birthday

Monday, July 18th is my birthday. I went shopping in the morning with mum, pou Nith, and ming Mom. We ordered a medium-sized cake and invited pou Vuth who didn't have his two kids with him at the time (which is so sad - their mum took them to Siem Reap with her), Nita and Nina (my cousins/sis), ming In (my mum's sis/the mum of my 3 cousins/sisters), pou Nak, pou Nith, ming Mom, and pou Bol. At 7pm, we went to a restaurant across the river and ate 9 dishes. We really ate alot! We ordered fried rice, beef steak, fried shrimp, banh chhev, sweet and sour fish, yao hon, and many others - can't remember. We swept clean every single dish... haha. After finished eating, we came home, played cards, sang karaoke, etc. and had a good night's sleep.

My 1st weekend

I arrived in PP on Friday July 15th. The day was exhausting - unpacking, gifts-giving, bla bla. I didn't sleep during flights and didn't do so at home either. My uncle drove me around for a while in the evening and it was nice to see how the city typically remained the same, well, some aspects worsened.

My entire weekend was spent playing games with my relatives - who either visit us or vice versa, going shopping, and arranging the house.

There are lots of stories to tell and to be told. Interesting days.

The most rewarding feeling I got since my arrival, though, is finding out how the presence of one person can glue together 2 once-fitted objects that are breaking apart.
